Ratekin Tower is a secured entry, six-story building located near beautiful downtown Grand Junction, Colorado. Ratekin Tower consists of 107 unfurnished one-bedroom apartments offering 565 square feet of living space. Eligible applicants must meet HUD requirements. Income limits apply. Tenants pay roughly 30% of their monthly income for rent. Gas, electric, water, sewer and trash are included with rent.

Dedicated Staff

On-site management is available Monday thru Friday from 8:00 to 5:00 and 24 hour emergency maintenance is available on an on call basis.

Secure Home

Security doors are installed on all building entries to keep out unauthorized persons. Tenants can admit visitors with the touch of a button located in each apartment.

Computer Lab

Our computer lab offers residents free e-mail and Internet access.

Accessible Facilities

Some of Ratekin Tower Apartments many amenities include a laundry room, TV area, library room, social areas, dining room, kitchen area, fenced outdoor recreation area and indoor mail delivery. Ratekin Tower has 11 fully accessible units. Volunteers conduct monthly blood pressure checks, annual flu shot clinics and yearly tax preparation assistance.

Neighbors & Friends

Meet people who share your interests and gather for free entertainment from local artists. Commodity Food Supplemental Program monthly for eligible persons, TEFAP (The Emergency Assistance Food Program) delivery, and a hot, nutritious lunch is served weekdays in the lobby at 12 noon by Gray Gourmet. The meal features a variety of entrees and coffee, milk and a desert are included. Reservations are required and the suggested donation is $3.50, although any amount is appreciated. Ratekin is also a Volunteer Station for the St. Mary’s Senior Companion Program. There is a weekly bingo night, potluck dinners, Friday night game night, a tenants’ association and more!

Built in 1983, Nellie Bechtel are senior apartments featuring twelve up and downstairs buildings with 96 one and two bedroom units. The property features a well- appointed club house for tenant use.  Head of Household, Co-head of Household or Spouse must be 62 or better.

The comfortable, well-lit units are equipped with a range, refrigerator and garbage disposal. Washers and dryers are located on the bottom floor of each building. Additionally, Nellie Bechtel has both an on sight property manager and a service coordinator.

No smoking outside of designated areas and no pets allowed. Income limits may apply.

Located North of Patterson Rd. on 15th Street.  Centrally located in Grand Junction, this beautifully landscaped and well maintained property provides easy access to shopping, restaurants and hospitals.

Currently all phone lines at our main office location on Foresight and some of our property management offices (The Highlands & 2814) are down due to a local outage with our phone provider. We are currently working to get our main incoming phone lines forwarded to other locations. In the meantime if you need to contact us, our office is open 8am-4pm and you can also use the contact form and Maintenance Request forms on our website. We will update this as we have further information but currently the tentative repair time we have been given is Thursday at 7am.

Shortly after 4:30 a.m. on Monday, September 5, 2022, the drop box at our main office on Foresight Circle was vandalized and the contents were stolen. If you deposited anything in the drop box between 4pm Friday, September 2, 2022 and 5am Monday, September 5, 2022, it was stolen. If you dropped off a rent payment, please first contact your bank or the money order company and report it stolen. Please also contact us to let us know what you deposited in the drop box. DO NOT USE THE DROP BOX AT 8 FORESIGHT CIRCLE until we can better secure or replace it (signs are posted).
